BARRISTER TABS

I began designing and making Barrister Tabs for women in 2018, driven by a desire to put my sewing skills & creativity to use alongside my full-time office job. It all started when my sister asked me to make her a pair with lace detailing on the collar, something she couldn’t find anywhere else. This highlighted a clear gap in the market for high-quality, feminine, and individualised Tabs for women at the Bar. I sourced a range of fabrics and lace styles, experimented with designs, and produced around 40 pairs by hand. From there, I built a website (with no prior experience) and launched an Instagram page to share my work. Orders began coming in almost immediately.

Since then, the brand has continued to grow. I've refined the designs, upgraded the fabrics and finishes, and now work with a small team to help fulfil all orders. What started as a side project has become a rewarding creative business that combines craftsmanship, functionality, and style.
